How to compare dental implant quotes

Why two implant quotes in Nairobi can differ by KES 100,000 — and the eight questions that make them comparable.

Implant quotes can look wildly different — and the cheapest number on paper often isn’t the cheapest by the end. The difference usually comes down to what’s been left out.

Ask every clinic these eight questions

  1. Does the price include the 3D scan?
  2. Does it include the abutment (the connector between implant and crown)?
  3. Does it include the final crown — and what is it made of?
  4. Which implant brand will you use, and can it be serviced by other dentists?
  5. Is bone grafting likely, and what would it cost?
  6. How many review visits are included?
  7. What happens — and who pays — if the implant doesn’t integrate?
  8. Who places it, and what’s their training?
