A good start

Children who have calm, easy visits early grow into adults who don’t fear the dentist. That’s why our children’s service is led by Dr Daniel Mwangi, a specialist paediatric dentist, and why first visits are deliberately short and playful.

What we offer

  • First visits and six-monthly check-ups
  • Gentle cleans and fluoride varnish
  • Fissure sealants on new adult molars
  • Tooth-coloured fillings for baby and adult teeth
  • Advice on thumb-sucking, teething and diet
  • Early checks for crowding before braces

For anxious children

Some children need more time. We book longer, quieter slots, explain every instrument with a “tell, show, do” approach, and use laughing gas where a child needs extra help — always with a parent’s consent.

Questions

Questions about
children's dentistry.

When should my child first see a dentist?

Around their first birthday, or when the first teeth appear. Early visits are short and mostly about getting comfortable.

Can I stay with my child?

Always. Parents stay in the room for every visit.

What are fissure sealants?

A thin protective coating painted onto the grooves of back teeth to help prevent decay. It's quick, needs no numbing, and suits most children once their adult molars arrive.
