What happens at a check-up
Your dentist looks at every tooth, your gums, your bite and the soft tissues of your mouth, including a routine oral cancer check. Low-dose digital X-rays are taken when they’re due — usually once a year — and you see them on the screen with us.
Then Faith, our hygienist, cleans away tartar and surface stain with an ultrasonic scaler and a gentle polish. You leave with a short WhatsApp summary: what we found, what (if anything) needs attention, and what it would cost.
If it’s been a long time
Most of our new patients haven’t seen a dentist in years. There’s no judgement here — just a plan. If there’s a lot of tartar, we split the clean over two shorter visits so nothing is rushed or sore.
Why it matters
Small problems caught at a check-up are cheaper, quicker and easier to treat. A filling found early is a twenty-minute visit; the same tooth left for two years can become a root canal.
