Paediatric Dentist

Dr Daniel Mwangi

Daniel looks after Shwari's youngest patients — from a first ride in the chair at age one to teenagers heading into braces.

“If a child leaves their first visit wanting to come back, we've done the most important thing.”

Daniel is a specialist paediatric dentist. He trained at the University of Nairobi and joined Shwari in 2019, bringing a slower, play-first approach that suits the clinic’s calm.

First visits are short and mostly fun: a ride in the chair, counting teeth, a look with a mirror. Treatment comes later, once your child trusts the room and the people in it. For children who need more help, laughing gas is available from around age four with a parent’s consent.

What parents can expect

You stay with your child throughout. Daniel explains everything to your child first and to you second, in words both of you understand. He sees children Monday to Friday, with after-school slots on request.
