For people who’d rather not
Dental anxiety is one of the most common reasons adults put off care — sometimes for years. At Shwari that’s not a footnote — it’s the reason the clinic exists.
Laughing gas
A mix of nitrous oxide and oxygen, breathed through a small nose mask. Within a few minutes you feel calm, warm and a little floaty, while staying fully awake. It wears off within minutes of the mask coming off, so you can drive home and carry on with your day.
Oral sedation
A prescribed tablet taken before your appointment. It brings a deeper calm, and many people remember little of the visit. You’ll need someone to bring you and take you home.
The comfort protocol
Sedation is one part of it. The rest is how we work: longer appointments, a first visit that can be “just a talk”, a stop signal that always works, numbing gel before every injection, noise-cancelling headphones, and a dentist who explains before they act. See the full protocol for nervous patients.
